Dwyer Family Reunion 2009

On July 11, over 80 of the "Dwyers" gathered in Peoria for their bi-annual family reunion. I really had fun photographing this very well organized and meaningful event. Thanks to the family for inviting me to take part!

Giving out fun awards like the "Tallest Person", "Shortest Person", "Oldest", "Youngest", "Longest Name", etc., was a fun way of letting family members learn about each other.

In this photo an Aunt retells a Great-Aunt's story to a younger generation. What a great way to carry on family tradition.

Dwyer families are performers and singing brought the families even closer. Everyone is so looking forward to the next reunion--and so am I.

Summer is a great time for cousins to get together for a family photo, and the Couri cousins took full advantage of the great July weather for their annual group shot. What will everyone look like in ten years!

Yesterday I was at Peoria Ballet to take some promotional shots for the upcoming season. Everyone had a blast, and if yesterday was any indication, it's going to be an unforgettable year at the ballet.
