Inside Your Closet (again)

On Thursday evening, Creative Logic, Inc., organized the second of their quarterly events - Inside Your Closet at Waterstone Estate in Edwards, IL. Guests enjoyed the evening with great food from Cracked Pepper Catering, and many local, regional and national organizations and boutiques. Congratulations to the organizers for another outstanding event!

The Sixth Annual International Fair at ICC

The international students at Illinois Central College invite you to attend the sixth annual International Fair to be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 p.m. in the ICC East Peoria campus cafeteria. The event will offer an opportunity to get to know international students and celebrate their cultures through music, entertainment, food samples and dancing. This year a group of international students will also feature a fashion show of traditional costumes which will be modeled by ICC students. Other entertainment will include: Indian dancing and Chinese songs. A few of the countries providing informational booths and food samples are: Japan, China, Turkey and Australia.

This event is open to the public and families will be able to come and learn about and appreciate world cultures while having fun together. Global Village of Peoria Heights will provide attendees with a selection of coffees, chocolates, clothing and gifts from developing countries.

There is an admission donation of $2.00, and children under 12 are admitted free. Food samples will be available at a modest cost. Proceeds will go toward an International student scholarship fund.

Meet Daniel

Daniel is a senior at Metamora High School. I met him when he was in 6th Grade. He is a great Golfer. We did his portrait session last Sunday, just in time for his Graduation. Watch out Matt Damon!

Knights split a pair

The RHS Knights split a doubleheader with Springfield Lamphier over the weekend. The guests won the opener 4-0, but the Knights rallied in the last frame to pull out the nightcap 5-4. Julie was back in country to provide her usual great diamond coverage.

Farmers Plow Knights at Home

The RHS Lady Knights had to take their hats off to the Farmington Farmers as the visitors tossed a pair of one-hitters at their hosts on Saturday afternoon. The Farmers posted a 6-0 win in the opener and an 11-0 five inning affair in the nightcap. Click on the link to view photos.
