On Thursday evening, Creative Logic, Inc., organized the second of their quarterly events - Inside Your Closet at Waterstone Estate in Edwards, IL. Guests enjoyed the evening with great food from Cracked Pepper Catering, and many local, regional and national organizations and boutiques. Congratulations to the organizers for another outstanding event!

The Sixth Annual International Fair at ICC

The international students at Illinois Central College invite you to attend the sixth annual International Fair to be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 p.m. in the ICC East Peoria campus cafeteria. The event will offer an opportunity to get to know international students and celebrate their cultures through music, entertainment, food samples and dancing. This year a group of international students will also feature a fashion show of traditional costumes which will be modeled by ICC students. Other entertainment will include: Indian dancing and Chinese songs. A few of the countries providing informational booths and food samples are: Japan, China, Turkey and Australia.

This event is open to the public and families will be able to come and learn about and appreciate world cultures while having fun together. Global Village of Peoria Heights will provide attendees with a selection of coffees, chocolates, clothing and gifts from developing countries.

There is an admission donation of $2.00, and children under 12 are admitted free. Food samples will be available at a modest cost. Proceeds will go toward an International student scholarship fund.

Forty high school standouts gathered at Dunlap High School on Thursday for the Kiwanis Senior Boys and Girls Basketball Invitational. Squads from the Mid-Illini and M-S 6 conferences squared off for some friendly competition capping many players' high school careers. The M-S 6 Conference won the boys and girls games by scores of 70-63 and 73-52 respectively, but despite the scores a good time was had by all. Knights Slain in Semis

The RHS Knights were ousted from the state football playoffs at home on Saturday as powerful Joliet Catholic rolled to an impressive 54-7 win. Joliet advances to the state title game next week.

Congratulations to RHS for another great season. You should be proud. See you back next year!

We recently had the pleasure of meeting Sugar and Belle for an afternoon photo shoot. Sugar was an "old paw" at having her photo taken, but Belle was anything but "man's best friend." However, with the help of a few squeak toys and lots of attention this beatiful pair produced some outstanding photos. Give us a "bark" to arrange a photo session with your favorite pet. The RHS Knights juggernaut rolled on with a solid 23-14 road win over #4 ranked Marion in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs. Julie made the 5-hour odyssey and grabbed all the action. The Knights face Springfield Sacred Heart Griffin next Saturday. Go Knights!
